MyTownOffers Online Data Privacy Policy

MyTownOffers uses offline consumer data (e.g., demographic, purchase and interest data) in order to create non-personally identifiable audience segments that are used for online ad targeting. MyTownOffers takes consumer privacy very seriously. We provide this online data privacy policy to help you understand what MyTownOffers does and outline your choices regarding how we use the information in our care. Overview of our online ad targeting service

MyTownOffers uses personally identifiable consumer data (e.g., demographic, purchase and interest data that is generally collected 'offline') in order to create non-personally identifiable audience segments that are used to help deliver relevant online advertising. A non-personally identifiable ("Non-PII") data segment cannot be used to identify a unique person.

We work with online advertisers, ad networks and other partners (collectively, our "Data Partners") that place our audience segments into cookies in order to deliver relevant advertising.

MyTownOffers does not share any personally identifiable information with our Data Partners or other third parties for online ad targeting purposes. And other than our opt-out cookie (described below) MyTownOffers does not create cookies. We take reasonable steps to vet our Data Partners, and we don't work with any controversial advertisers. We also don't create audience segments containing sensitive medical or financial information, or create children's segments.

Adherence to Industry Standards of Notice and Choice

MyTownOffers takes reasonable measures to ensure that our Data Partners provide Notice and Choice to consumers, and adhere to generally accepted privacy standards when they insert our audience segments into cookies. We also support and will take reasonable steps to adhere to the additional Notice provisions being promulgated by online advertising industry groups such as the Network Advertising Initiative.

Cookies

Other than our opt-out cookie, MyTownOffers does not create cookies for online behavioral advertising purposes. However, our Data Partners do utilize cookies. Cookies are small text files that contain a string of alphanumeric characters. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. Opting out from MyTownOffers's online behavioral advertising service

If you'd like to opt-out from having MyTownOffers use your Non-PII in connection with our online behavioral advertising service, please click here. Security

The security of your information is important to us. MyTownOffers has implemented reasonable security measures to protect the information in our care, both during transmission and once we receive it. This includes, but is not limited to the use of firewalls, encryption and reasonable processes to de-identify our Non-PII audience segments to ensure that those segments are not merged with personally identifiable information. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We contractually require our Data Partners that use our ad targeting service to retain our audience segments in cookies that expire in fewer than 24 months.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this policy from time to time. We may do so on our own initiative, or in response to new legislation, or for other reasons such as a transfer of ownership of MyTownOffers, Inc. to a different company with a different privacy policy. Should this policy be amended, the amended policy will be posted here.
